World’s tallest woman meets World’s shortest woman for the first time

It was an interesting encounter when two women renowned for their incredible and extraordinary physical features bumped into each other for the first time.

The two women, Jyoti Amge the world’s shortest woman and the other, Rumeysa Gelgi being the World tallest woman reportedly met at the Savoy Hotel in London.

Their encounter was part of celebrations for the 70th anniversary of Guinness World Records and the 20th anniversary of Guinness world Records Day.

In a video shared on X, Jyoti and Rumeysa were seen sipping hot tea after exchanging pleasantries and gushing over each other’s physical attributes.

Rumeysa Gelga is a 27 year-old web developer from Turkey who is 7 ft 1 inch tall which is approximately, 215.16cm thus making her undisputedly the tallest woman in the world.

Rumeysa’s height is a result of a rare condition called Weaver syndrome which produces an accelerated and abnormal skeletal growth.

Jyoti Amge on the other hand is 30 years of age and stands at an incredible height of 62.8cm which is equivalent to 2 ft 1inch tall thus making her the world’s shortest woman.

Jyoti, an Indian was diagnosed with a condition known as achondroplasia, a kind of dwarfism that impacts the growth of the bone.
