Zookeeper films his final moments after entering lion’s den to impress his girlfriend

A zookeeper tragically lost his life after being attacked by lions while entering their enclosure in an attempt to impress his girlfriend.

The man, identified as F. Iriskulov, unknowingly captured his final moments on video. He filmed himself entering the lion’s den at a private zoo in Parkent, Uzbekistan, during his night shift at around 5 a.m. on December 17.

In the video shared online, he is seen unlocking the padlock of the enclosure. The lions, three in total, were initially sitting calmly in a far corner of the cage. However, as he stepped inside, the lions became alert and started moving toward him. Nervously, he could be heard calling out to one of the lions: “Simba… Simba, be quiet.”

It was later revealed that he recorded the footage to impress his girlfriend. At one point, he flipped the camera to show his face, surrounded by the lions. One of them, seemingly familiar with him, allowed him to pet it.

Tragically, the situation took a horrifying turn when he touched the lion’s mane. The lion licked its lips, and Iriskulov began retreating toward the metal gate. Within just two minutes of entering the den, one of the lions launched its attack.

As the attack began, he screamed and desperately tried to defend himself, repeatedly telling the lions, “Be quiet, be quiet…”

Sadly, he was unable to escape and succumbed to the brutal attack.
