Cardi B and Offset’s ongoing divorce takes an intense turn!
The rapper was not impressed with Offset’s latest move in their divorce, and she is not staying quiet about her utter disgust, with wishes of doom for her ex-husband.
Cardi B filed for divorce from Offset last year during her third pregnancy. She welcomed her baby girl shortly after announcing the divorce, alongside her maternity shoot.
Cardi B Wished Estranged Husband Woes During X Rant
Cardi B could not contain her raving anger over reports that the rapper is seeking spousal support, which she claims ruined her day. During a heated session on X Spaces, she vented her frustrations, making it clear that she feels deeply betrayed by her estranged husband.
Cardi went as far as to say she hopes Offset suffers, wishing him a “slow death” filled with regrets about their relationship. Despite never asking Offset for financial support, Cardi pointed out his numerous absences from their children’s lives.
The award-winning rapper added that he has only seen their toddler daughter about five times since her birth in September 2024. Cardi emphasized that she has made efforts to facilitate visits, yet Offset still refuses to travel to New York City to see them, preferring not to stay in a hotel.
In light of these issues, TMZ reported that Cardi shared that she will channel her anger into her music, announcing her determination to release her next album after a five-year delay.
The ‘Clout’ Rapper Requested Joint Custody Of Their Three Kids
Despite Cardi calling her husband a deadbeat in her new rant, with claims that he fails to see their children regularly, the rapper still wants unrestricted access to them.
Offset, through his legal team, demanded joint custody of their three children: Kulture, Wave, and Blossom, whose names she accidentally revealed during her space session.
Loren LoRosa from “The Breakfast Club” obtained information from Offset’s team regarding his recent legal actions. They stated that the Migos rapper filed for legal measures because he felt Cardi was being unreasonable about visitation schedules.
The duo tied the knot in 2017 and had experienced divorce scares in the marriage about twice before the singer eventually pulled that plug.
Offset Made Fresh Demands For Spousal Support
The rapper is not interested in going down without a fight, and that includes pushing his luck with his estranged wife’s finances. Offset cited financial problems and asked the court to issue a spousal support order to Cardi B.
Although he did not specify the amount, Offset’s filing marked a turning point in the flow of their divorce process as it stands. Offset is reportedly neck deep in a nearly $2 million tax bet.
In March 2025, the Georgia Department of Revenue filed a state tax lien against Offset, initially citing a debt of $167,916.02. However, this amount has since surged to $294,712 due to accruing interest, penalties, and additional fees.
Just a month later, on April 23, the IRS also imposed a tax lien on him, alleging that he had failed to pay over $1.5 million in federal income taxes for the year 2021.
According to court documents, the total liabilities from both liens now amount to $1,866,978.73; however, neither state nor federal authorities have made the claims public yet.
The ‘Bodak Yellow’ Hitmaker Verbally Attacked The Former Migos Rapper Last Year
This is not the first time the rapper has slammed her ex-husband on social media. Cardi filed for divorce in August 2024, after she made a series of intense social media confrontations.
During that time, she defended him against accusations of being an unsupportive parent, pushing back against claims that labeled him a “deadbeat.” Despite her attempts to stand by him, the tensions between the couple have only escalated.
Last year, the rapper went viral for a chaotic post in which she expressed a wish for Offset to face severe consequences, stating, “I wish the worst on this man.”
She registered her deep feelings of resentment towards him, claiming to “truly hate” him and criticizing his family and friends for not holding him accountable for his actions. Several of these charged posts have since been deleted, but they highlight the turbulent nature of their relationship.
“I never hated somebody soooo much and these b-tches be so [thirsty] to have him, please take this man off my hands, this garbage bag is too heavy!! I truly hate this dirty as- narcissistic piece of sh-t,” the rapper wrote.
Cardi B’s Estranged Husband Dealing With Strip Club Incident Lawsuit
Offset’s spousal support request may be linked to his current attempt at dismissing a legal judgment related to an alleged assault. According to him, he was unaware of the case filed in Miami by Leamsy Izquierdo and Humberto Crespo.
Offset contests the six-figure ruling against him, insisting he was never properly served with the lawsuit. He claims that the chaotic atmosphere of the nightclub made it impossible for legal documents to be delivered to him.
The rapper added that he has no ties to Florida and believes the case should be dismissed entirely. In the lawsuit, Offset was accused of getting involved in a physical altercation that occurred in January 2020 at Booby Trap On The River.
The incident reportedly escalated after Cardi was sprayed with champagne, leading Offset to confront the crowd in her defense. The lawsuit alleged that Offset assaulted Izquierdo and Crespo, with the two men claiming serious injuries that required medical attention.
They argued that the club’s lack of security worsened the situation as no one was there to rein in Offset. Eventually, the court ordered Offset to pay $232,000, divided between the plaintiffs.
Cardi B and Offset’s decline from fierce lovers to sworn enemies is definitely not a pleasant sight!
