According to a report by GistLover, the rift began Tuesday night when SZA seemingly threw shade at Minaj, prompting the rapper to unleash a fiery tirade on X (formerly Twitter), which also targeted music executive TDE Punch.
During her outburst, Minaj claimed she has achieved far more in the music industry than SZA, even stating she has performed in parts of the world where the “Snooze” singer remains unknown.
In response, SZA fired back by sharing a screenshot of what appeared to be direct messages from Nicki Minaj’s team, allegedly asking for a collaboration.
Alongside the screenshot, SZA added a caption on X, revealing she had turned down Nicki’s request for a feature not once, but twice.
She wrote, “You absolutely know my music and what I contribute cause you’ve asked for features twice to no response. In addition to rapping my lyrics on ‘Feeling Myself’—‘Cooking up the bass looking like a kilo’? Lol ur having a moment… I’m not sure why but be blessed.”
