The Katsina state chapter of National League of Veteran Journalists -NALVEJ has been told to make integrity it’s watchword in showing the way for the incoming journalism practitioners in the state.
The editor in chief of Katsina times media group Mallam Danjuma Muhammad made the remarks when he received the chairman and members of the league who visited him along Yahaya Madaki way in Katsina.
Mallam Danjuma Muhammad recounted how he visited the some states branch of the League and observed that the younger journalists are reporting daily for consultations.
Although the katsina state branch of the league was new, the Katsina times media group editor in chief was optimistic that the formation of the league now is a move in the right direction, stressing that it is better late than never.
He pledged to make his studio always available for the veterans to be conducting professional duties, adding that the studio located adjacent to his office had all the state of arts mass communications facilities.
Mallam Danjuma Muhammad pledged to collaborate with NALVEJ to move the journalism practice to greater heights in katsina state.
He was particularly happy with the resolve of the league to pay him such a brotherly and professional visit to rub minds on areas of professional ethicates.
Earlier the chairman of NALVEJ in Katsina state, Mallam Badamasi Bukar Rumah said they were in his office to find areas of collaboration between the league and the publishing outfit.
The league chairman noted that must of the members have related closely with Mallam Danjuma Muhammad during their days as either broadcasters or correspondents of media organizations in the state.
He therefore called for support and cooperation to move NALVEJ forward in the state.
Mallam badamasi asked the Katsina city News publisher to help in obtaining an office accommodation for the league and the use of his state of the art studio for it’s professional duties.
He expressed gratitude to the publisher for the support so far provided to NALVEJ.
