JUST IN: Kwankwaso Visits Daura Over Buhari’s Death

Former Kano State Governor and leader of the Kwankwasiyya movement, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has visited Daura, Katsina State, to commiserate with the family of the late former President Muhammadu Buhari.

Kwankwaso was accompanied by the Deputy Governor of Kano State and his long-time political associate, Alhaji Buba Galadima. The visit was part of ongoing condolence visits by political leaders and dignitaries following the death of the former president.

The development was confirmed on Saturday by Bashir Ahmad, a former aide to Buhari, who posted on X:
“Former Governor of Kano State Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, leader of the Kwankwasiyya movement, visited Daura in the company of the Deputy Governor of Kano State and his political associate, Alhaji Buba Galadima, to offer their condolences on the passing of former President Muhammadu Buhari. May Allah (SWT) accept his soul and grant him Jannah.”

President Muhammadu Buhari, who led Nigeria from 2015 to 2023, died on Sunday in London. His body was flown back to Nigeria and buried on Tuesday in accordance with Islamic rites in his hometown of Daura, Katsina State..
