Mr Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Information and Strategy, has called on All Progressives Congress (APC) Zonal and State Publicity Secretaries to intensify efforts in educating Nigerians about the administration’s achievements.

He made the call on Friday in Abuja at a capacity-building seminar for APC Zonal and State Publicity Secretaries, organised by the Office of the APC National Publicity Secretary.

Onanuga emphasised that the Renewed Hope Agenda of the Tinubu-led administration was not a mere slogan but a visible reality.

“We need to do more, especially at the grassroots, to inform our people about what this government is doing to improve their lives.

“Under the current administration, the economy is picking up, and a lot of confidence has been restored.

“Many investors are now coming into the country to invest across various sectors,” he said.

He added that in spite of inheriting a struggling economy, the administration had made notable progress in agriculture, solid minerals, and other critical areas.

In his welcome address, Alhaji Ali Dalori, APC Acting National Chairman, urged the party’s spokespersons to spread the message of the Renewed Hope Agenda with renewed vigour.

Sen. Ajibola Bashiru, APC National Secretary, commended both the President’s media team and the APC communication team for organising the seminar.

He stressed the importance of strategic communication in shaping public perception.

“We must focus our communication on the government’s economic achievements and show that, contrary to negative predictions, the naira is performing better,” he said.

Bashiru also urged party spokespersons to explore local radio programmes in every state to effectively relay the administration’s efforts at both national and sub-national levels.

“Nigeria operates a federal system, not a unitary one. We must highlight not only federal but also state and local government achievements.

“As the largest political party in Nigeria with 23 governors, we must showcase their developmental efforts.

“It’s not just about making noise; it’s about real programmes and measurable outcomes,” he said.

Mr Felix Morka, APC National Publicity Secretary, in his address to the spokespersons, reiterated the need to continuously educate the public on the impact of the government’s initiatives.
