Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, was involved in a minor road accident on Sunday evening along the Daura–Katsina highway while returning from an official assignment.

A statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed, confirmed the incident and noted that the governor did not sustain serious injuries.

“We are pleased to confirm that the Governor is in good health and stable condition, with no serious injuries sustained,” the statement read.

The statement also quoted the governor as saying he was thankful for surviving the incident.

“Governor Radda remains in high spirits and expresses his gratitude to Almighty Allah for His protection, as well as Katsina citizens and well-wishers for their prayers and concern,” it added.

No further information was provided about the nature of the accident or whether others in the convoy were affected.
