Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola Badmus, popularly known as Portable, has escalated his feud with social media commentator Verydarkman (VDM), taking their online dispute to a whole new level.
According to a report by Legit.ng, both men released diss tracks aimed at one another, with each addressing the accusations and insults they’ve traded in recent weeks.
The conflict began after Portable posted a video criticizing VDM for repeatedly targeting President Bola Tinubu over Nigeria’s economic challenges. The singer also accused VDM of exploiting the late singer Mohbad’s death to gain online traction, pointing out that despite the buzz, there had been no justice for the tragedy.
In retaliation, Verydarkman dropped a diss track titled “Ole” (Yoruba for thief), taking jabs at Portable and referencing previous allegations of theft that had trailed the artist.
Not stopping at music, VDM resurfaced an old viral video from 2020 in which Portable was allegedly beaten by a mob over accusations of stealing a mobile phone and a tricycle.
In response, Portable fired back by digging up personal videos of VDM from the past, sharing them online in a bid to ridicule him.
The ongoing back-and-forth has sparked debates among fans, with many comparing their attacks to decide who’s coming out on top in this heated digital showdown.
