Nigerian auto dealer Ikechukwu Ogbonna, better known as IVD, has opened up about his strained relationship with his late wife’s family and his children.
During a recent appearance on the Honest Bunch podcast, IVD disclosed that he hasn’t had any contact with his children for more than three years. He also spoke about his current partner, Blessing CEO, describing her as a calming presence and revealing plans to marry her.
His revelations stirred mixed reactions online, prompting him to address the backlash through a series of posts on his Instagram story.
In one video, IVD shared a photo of one of his daughters, claiming she looked unwell. He stated that his children were born into a wealthy household but alleged that his ex-in-laws were failing to care for them properly.
Visibly emotional, IVD said his children were the reason behind much of his anger and demanded that they be returned to him, claiming he could no longer tolerate the separation. He went on to challenge those he accused of keeping the children, asking them to post a photo of their own daughter so people could compare appearances.
Stressing the vital role of a father figure, IVD asserted that he is still very much alive and capable of raising his children. He also issued a warning, saying they shouldn’t allow “the god of thunder” to claim their lives.
In a follow-up post, the businessman alleged that someone had not only tried to harm him but had also stolen from him. He thanked God for exposing the supposed betrayal and sparing his life.
These statements come in the wake of ongoing public scrutiny since the death of his wife, Bimbo, who died after sustaining severe burns during a domestic incident at their residence.
