Former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, has predicted that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) may finish fourth in the 2027 general elections.
Fayose made the remarks during an appearance on Channels Television’s political programme, Politics Today on Friday.
“PDP will come 4th in the next general election,” Fayose declared. “A lot is wrong with our party, and that is the naked truth. It is unfortunate,” he said, responding to questions about his absence from the party’s recent National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting.
He noted that although he was duly invited, he could not attend.
The former governor’s comments come amid tensions within the PDP’s leadership, which have led to waves of defections.
