- A Nigerian landlord married a kind-hearted female tenant after his wife repeatedly locked him out of their home for late returns.
A Nigerian landlord has shared how repeated rejection by his wife led to an unexpected and heartwarming turn in his personal life he ended up marrying his female tenant.
In a now-viral post on X (formerly Twitter), the man, identified as @tort_walec, recalled how his wife frequently locked him out of their home for returning late. But one night in 2017 changed everything.
“In 2017, my wife locked me outside, but our beautiful, kind-hearted female tenant opened her door for me. In short, she’s not a tenant anymore. We now have three children,” he wrote.
He explained that his wife had locked him out over 20 times, and that final incident was the breaking point that led him to leave the marriage.
His revelation comes amid a trending discussion on X about whether a wife has the right to deny her husband entry for coming home late.
