The Super Falcons claimed their 10th WAFCON title on Saturday, and they have gotten a lot of love since then

English Women Super League club Everton shared a video of some of their players congratulating their teammate Toni Payne on her 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations success with Nigeria, Soccernet.ng reports.

The Super Falcons staged a remarkable comeback to defeat hosts Morocco 3-2 in the final of the 2024 WAFCON on Saturday.

That victory means that Nigeria now have ten continental titles, the highlights by any African team.

Following their victory, the team have gotten a lot of plaudits from home and abroad. Most of the Super Falcons ply their trades abroad, and their clubs have sent congratulatory messages to them.

The latest club to join the trend is Everton Women. The WSL shared a post on social media with the players sending congratulatory messages to their player Payne, and the rest of the team.

Payne has been with the club since the summer of 2025. She was an important player for Everton last season, with one goal and five assists in 22 WSL appearances.

The Super Falcons are now back in Nigeria after their success in Morocco, and they were welcomed by many fans at the international airport in Abuja.
