Grammy-winning Nigerian artiste Damini Ogulu, widely known as Burna Boy, delivered a thrilling performance during the England Women’s Euro trophy parade at Buckingham Palace on Tuesday.
The ‘African Giant’ joined the jubilant Lionesses on stage after their dramatic 3-1 penalty shootout victory over Spain, following a 1-1 draw in extra time, which secured their successful European Championship title defense. Burna Boy captivated the crowd with his hit track For My Hand, a collaboration with British singer Ed Sheeran.
His electrifying performance had the stadium buzzing, with England coach Sarina Wiegman, the victorious players, and the 100,000 fans in attendance celebrating to the rhythm of his music.
This isn’t Burna Boy’s first historic stage. In 2023, he became the first African artist to perform at a UEFA Champions League final, headlining the Kick-Off Show alongside Brazilian pop sensation Anitta.
