The Federal Government of Nigeria has announced plans to revive the Kaduna Textile Company.
George Akume, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation said the government’s plan to revive the company is focused on strengthening Nigeria’s struggling economy.
The SGF made the disclosure on Tuesday during a two-day interactive session focused on government-citizen engagement in Kaduna.
Akume said President Bola Tinubu is committed to the rehabilitation of key infrastructure across several sectors of the economy.
He also said that the administration of President Tinubu hopes to industrialise the nation through diversification.
“We are looking at those days of Kaduna Textile and many other industrialised areas in the north.
“We intend to revisit those good old days of the Kaduna Textile to further boost and solidify the economy of the country via industrialisation.
“These and many more will be achieved by the administration of Tinubu, who after two years and two months in office has achieved so much,” Akume said.
