A Nigerian man claiming to be an old friend of singer Omah Lay has accused the artist of owing him ₦12,000 borrowed in 2014 to invest in the defunct Ponzi scheme, MMM.
In a viral video shared on X by @AsakyGRN, the man alleged that Omah Lay convinced him to lend the money despite his initial reluctance.
He insists the debt remains unpaid, sparking mixed reactions online, with some users mocking the claim and others questioning its timing.
His words: “He owes me ₦12,000. When he was in the hood, he told me to invest in MMM. I said I didn’t do those things, but he said it would be profitable because others were doing it. He asked me for ₦12,000. I gave him the ₦12,000.”
