Dr. Aminu Magashi Garba, chairman of the AMG Foundation, has advised members of the Bayero University Kano Old Campus Youth Assembly to focus on self-reliance and sustainability.
Dr. Magashi gave the advice when members of the assembly’s leadership visited him in his office.
Led by its chairman, Malam Aliyu Abubakar Balarabe, the youth group said the visit was to thank Dr. Magashi for his continued support and to introduce its new executives.
“We are here to say thank you for all your support to Bayero University Old Campus Youth Assembly. Every one of us is feeling the impact of your contributions,” Aliyu said.
He explained that Dr. Magashi’s contributions to youth activities within the assembly have been consistent and helpful. The visit, he said, was also an opportunity to share their future plans.
In his remarks, Dr. Magashi urged the youth leaders to invest in initiatives that would ensure long-term sustainability and independence.
He encouraged them to put their goals into clear, actionable plans and to properly identify active and committed members.
Dr. Magashi added that he would continue to support efforts aimed at improving the lives of young people.
