FG announces plan to establish cattle breeding centres across all regions

The Federal Government has announced its plan to establish cattle breeding centres across all six zones of the country.

Abdullahi, the Minister of State for Agriculture in Tuesday at the second day of the Government engagement and midterm review of the President Bola Tinubu administration.

The event was organised by the Sir Ahmadu Bello Foundation in Kaduna and was well attended by several dignitaries, ministers and public office holders.

Speaking at the event, Abdullahi said the Ministry is collaborating with other ministries including Environment, water resources, and livestock development among others.

He noted that the breeding centres across each of the six geopolitical zones of the country is part of efforts by President Tinubu to boost livestock production and food security in Nigeria.

He also said that the collaboration with other ministries, and agencies is aimed at achieving the laid out goals of the Renewed Hope Agenda.

He said, “The synergy and collaboration of the Ministries of Agriculture, Environment, Water Resources, Livestock Development, and the Blue Economy are imperative for delivering on the Renewed Hope Agenda.”
