After seven years and 43 proposals, a woman has finally said “yes” to her persistent boyfriend.

Luke Wintrip, a tattoo artist, had been proposing to his girlfriend Sarah since 2018, but she repeatedly turned him down, feeling it was too soon. “I loved him, but I didn’t want to rush into something I might regret,” Sarah explained.

Despite the rejections, Luke never gave up. From renting a castle in Prague to planning romantic beachside proposals in Jamaica, he tried everything to win her heart. After his 42nd proposal, Sarah jokingly promised that she would say “yes” the next time.

A year later, Luke proposed at the Royal Observatory in Greenwich, telling Sarah, “This is the center of the world, and you are the center of my world.” This time, Sarah finally accepted.

“He should probably get a Guinness World Record,” Sarah laughed. “I’m just grateful he never gave up on me.”
