The ATM Gwarzo Organisation has called on Nigerians to be patient with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s economic reforms, describing them as steps aimed at long-term national growth.

The group also urged the Kano State Government to prioritise reforms in the basic education sector, warning that the current state of the system threatens the future of young people in the state.

This was contained in a statement issued after the Organisation’s second-quarter strategic meeting for 2025, signed by Mansur Umar Man’ash, Special Assistant, Digital Media.

“The Organisation reaffirms its unwavering support for the leadership of His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR,” the statement read. “We commend the bold and necessary reforms being undertaken by his administration to reposition Nigeria for long-term, sustainable development. We urge all Nigerians to remain patient, united, and supportive, as these efforts are pivotal to the country’s future progress.”

On the state of education in Kano, the Organisation expressed concern and demanded immediate action. “We urge the [Kano State] administration to urgently address the myriad challenges bedevilling the state’s primary and secondary school system, with a view to revitalising basic education and securing the future of the next generation,” the statement added.

It also commented on recent developments in the state, acknowledging Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf’s payment of outstanding gratuities and pensions, and called for expansion of infrastructure projects beyond urban areas. “We urge the Governor to expand infrastructural developments to rural areas to ensure inclusive growth,” the statement said.

The group also highlighted issues of water scarcity and rising youth violence. “We call on the government to take decisive steps against the growing menace of thuggery (Yan Daba) in order to safeguard public peace and protect the future of our youth,” the group urged.

In a separate development, the Organisation acknowledged the naming of a 480-seater CBT Centre by the Federal University of Education, Zaria, in honour of its leader. “This recognition is deeply valued and serves as a lasting source of pride and encouragement to the entire ATM Gwarzo family,” it stated.

The Organisation closed the statement by restating its alignment with the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its support for leadership at state and national levels.
