Popular TikTok dancer Madam Arinze has reacted to the reported death of her friend, Vivian Chinelo, popularly known as Bigbutfit, during a live session on the platform.
In a video clip from the live stream, Madam Arinze expressed her frustration at TikTok users who flooded her page with condolence messages after allegedly contributing to the bullying Chinelo endured while alive.
She recalled how the late content creator was often body-shamed for her protruding stomach, only to be celebrated after her passing.
“You’re coming to my DM for what? Whatever you’re looking for on my page, you won’t find it. You people bullied that woman till the end and are now pretending to show love. Go to her comment section ‘big belle, big belle’ you wouldn’t let her rest. Is your mother’s stomach not big? You want to frustrate plus-sized people, even drive them to sin. Don’t fat people exist in your family?” she said partly during the live session.
Following the online uproar, Madam Arinze also shared an update on Instagram, stating that she had yet to receive any confirmation from Chinelo’s family regarding the news.
“I’m not here to say RIP or announce anything because I haven’t been able to reach her, and her family hasn’t confirmed it. I just pray this isn’t true and will keep hoping for good news. Also, if you’re a troll leaving hateful comments on people’s posts, remember that karma is waiting for you,” she wrote.
