Eti-Osa LG Renames Six Major Streets In Lagos Days After Bariga LCDA Renamed Charly Boy Bus Stop

Eti-Osa LG has renamed six major streets in Lagos state.

This is coming days after Bariga local government changed the popular Charly Boy bus stop to Olamide Baddo bus stop.

In a statement released Friday, August 1, the Eti-Osa Council Manager, Mrs. Oluwakemi Oshun, announced that the new street names take immediate effect.

According to the statement, Tony Amadasun Road in Igbo Efon has been renamed Chief Femi Pedro Road, while Dr. Udo Wogu Drive in Chevy View is now Chief Adebola Dosunmu Drive. Augusta Orji Street, located along Aro Ologolo Road, has been changed to Alhaji Adio Mayegun Street. In Osapa London, Chike Mba Close has been renamed Hon. Sikiru Ashorota Close., Ugochukwu Orji Street in Igbo Efon is now Barr Wale Sanni Street, while Fubara Dublin Green Street, also in Igbo Efon, has been renamed Rafiu Olukolu Street.

The council advised Residents, businesses, and the general public to update their records to reflect the changes.

According to the council, the initiative aims to promote the cultural and historical significance of local street names while enhancing navigation, urban planning, and identity management.
