A Nigerian soldier has expressed disappointment with the federal government for gifting Super Falcons players N150m each while soldiers who risk their lives are poorly paid.

Speaking in a video, the soldier lamented the discrimination.

He lamented how President Tinubu gifted each player ₦150 million and a three-bedroom flat for winning the WAFCON tournament, while soldiers serving the nation for 35 years still end up with meagre earnings.

He noted that even if a soldier manages to serve and retire without injury or death, the total money earned cannot match the rewards the footballers received for just one month of playing.

The soldier narrated how many colleagues die in the line of duty—some without salaries paid, others buried without honour. Meanwhile, senators collect ₦29 million monthly, dwarfing a soldier’s entire career earnings.

Despite his pain, he prayed that one day God would liberate Nigeria from bad leadership and restore dignity to those who sacrifice for the country.

According to him, no amount of money or power can bribe death, and the God that delivered Israel from Egypt will someday come through for Nigerian soldiers.
