Popular Lagos socialite and entrepreneur, Prettymike has remembered his late dad in an emotional video.

In the video, he opened up about the recent loss of his father. 

Prettymike kicked against the growing culture of “aura for aura,” urging people to be kind and positive.

“There’s this slogan going around that encourages bad energy. It promotes revenge and retaliation,” he said. “But true strength lies in love, patience, and wisdom — not retaliation.”

The usually flamboyant businessman got emotional as he spoke about his late father, calling him a man of virtue, peace, and quiet strength who taught him to always rise above hate and hurt.

“I lost my father a couple of months ago. He was a man who instilled a lot of love in me. He always encouraged peace,” he shared. “I rarely speak about my personal life online, but I needed to put this out.”

Prettymike stressed that while people will always hurt each other, especially in a world like ours, it’s important not to mirror hate or fuel cycles of revenge.

“I’m not saying you have to be friends with everyone. But let’s not feed darkness. Let’s choose light. Let’s choose mercy over hate,” he said.

He ended the video with a heartfelt message to his dad:

“Dad, I miss you. I love you. And I hope this message reaches at least one person.”
