Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma has all but confirmed his departure from the club after he bid farewell to the fans on Tuesday.

In a lengthy post via his Instagram account, the Italian also expressed disappointment as he paid tribute to PSG.

This comes after the goalkeeper was dropped from PSG’s UEFA Super Cup squad to face Tottenham on Wednesday.

“I am disappointed and disheartened. I want you [PSG fans] to know that your support and affection mean the world to me, and I will never forget it,” Donnarumma said to PSG’s fans.

“To my teammates – my second family – thank you for every battle, every laugh, every moment we shared. You will always be my brothers. Playing for this club and living in this city has been an immense honour. Thank you, Paris.”
