Media personality Toke Makinwa has put lingering speculation to rest by proudly showing off her bare baby bump, following online claims that she used a surrogate.
The OAP and TV host recently announced on Instagram that she is expecting her first child, describing the pregnancy as “the biggest project of my life and my highest calling.”
She revealed that her 2025 declaration was to have “a different year,” and God had answered her prayers in ways she never imagined.

In a heartfelt note, Toke expressed gratitude for the divine timing, saying she now understands why the journey took so long.
However, her joy was dampened when a troll in her comment section insinuated that her bump was fake and suggested she was hiding behind surrogacy.

The remark quickly drew the ire of her celebrity friends. Actress Toyin Abraham lashed out at the critic, raining curses, while Funke Akindele slammed the commenter in Yoruba. Singer Tiwa Savage also waded in, urging the troll to take the post down.

Now, seemingly speaking for herself, Toke took to Snapchat to share an unfiltered photo of her bump. Dressed in joggers and a black singlet folded above her belly, she captioned the image:
“This era is called growing life.”
Her supporters quickly rallied behind her:
@i.am_wine wrote: “Before una say she is barren. Now that God finally did it for her, it’s now surrogacy. Make una rest abeg.”
@pretty_loveth94 said: “No need to prove anything to anyone, mama.”
@sabiigirlfashion commented: “Hope they’ll allow her to drink water, drop cup now.”
@chi.wendu added: “Why is she stressing herself? She doesn’t have to prove anything to nobody.”
Toke’s pregnancy marks a deeply personal milestone. The media star was previously married to fitness expert Maje Ayinde, but the marriage ended in 2016 after two years, following his alleged infidelity and fathering a child with another woman.
In past interviews, she has opened up about the emotional toll of that period, revealing how she was blamed despite being the victim.
