GOAT: Arsenal’s William Saliba includes Cameroonian in his two greatest footballers of all time

Arsenal defender, William Saliba, has made his pick on who is the greatest player of all time, GOAT.

For him, former Barcelona stars, Lionel Messi and Samuel Eto’o are the greatest footballers of all time.

While Messi is widely regarded as the greatest player to play the game, the choice of the Carmeroonian legend, Eto’o becomes a rare one.

In a short video posted on Arsenal’s official X (formerly Twitter) handle, Saliba named Messi as the most ‘GOATED’ player in terms of skill.

He said the World Cup winner is the best player in history alongside Samuel Eto’o.

Eto’o played for Barcelona, Chelsea, Inter Milan, Everton among many other top European clubs during his active days.

Messi rose through the ranks at Barca, Eto’o was the first among the two to play in the club’s senior team.

They played together between 2005 and 2009, shared the pitch 105 times, and combined for 23 goals.

Eto’o and Messi also played as opponents.
