Biodun Fatoyinbo, the Global Senior Pastor of the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly, COZA, has apologized for comments he made about the late Apostle Joseph Ayo Babalola.

The Abuja-based pastor purportedly claimed Babalola died as a poor man and also made mockery of his children.

Fatoyinbo’s apology comes after the Christ Apostolic Church, CAC, hit back at his remarks, describing them as insensitive and ill-informed.

In response, Fatoyinbo claimed he didn’t refer to Babalola and his children in bad light.

He also noted that this can be verified from the raw copy of the sermon.

The statement added: “Finally, I apologize if any other statement made by me has caused any form of distress, hurt or discontentment to the CAC, the family of the late Apostle Babalola or his associates.
