Police recover stolen Coaster Bus, two other vehicles in Abuja, invite owners for identification

Operatives of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Police Command have recovered a Honda Civic, ash colour, with registration number YAB 837 TA; a Toyota Sienna LE, ash colour, with registration number ABJ 75 JR; and a Coaster Bus, orange colour, without registration number.

The vehicles are suspected to have been stolen by criminal elements.

Josephine Adeh, the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, who disclosed this in a statement on Thursday, said the recovery followed credible intelligence about abandoned vehicles near the Central Police Station.

She said the operation was carried out on Monday, August 11, 2025.

According to the statement, the FCT Commissioner of Police, CP Ajao Adewale, appreciated residents of the capital city “for their cooperation and continued support to the Police through timely and useful information.”

The Command called on members of the public “whose vehicles match the above description to visit the FCT Police Command Headquarters with proof of ownership for verification and collection.”
