Veteran broadcaster and host of Your View, Morayo Afolabi-Brown, has officially confirmed her resignation from TVC Entertainment after 12 years, citing her desire to pursue bigger dreams, ideals, and long-held passions.

The announcement, which came via a heartfelt Instagram video on Friday, has stirred widespread reactions among viewers and colleagues.

Her departure, first hinted at in a statement by TVC last week, shocked loyal audiences who have followed her daily morning talk show since its inception.

Afolabi-Brown, breaking her silence in new clip, revealed that August 29 will mark her final appearance on Your View, after which she will also vacate her role as Managing Director of TVC Entertainment.

“I have put in my resignation as host of Your View on TVC. I’ve been host for the past 12 years and have also resigned as MD, TVC Entertainment,” she explained.

Nothing happened. It’s just the phase in my life to do something else — bigger dreams, bigger ideals, and things I have always been passionate about.”

In her message, Afolabi-Brown thanked TVC Communications’ management, her colleagues, and the show’s audience for unwavering support. She acknowledged the network’s role in shaping her public image, noting that the platform helped her build both her brand and her professional confidence.

Her exit also comes on the heels of a public spat with an online critic following her commentary on a viral video of Peter Obi serving food at an Imo State event.

The incident sparked debate among “Obidient” supporters, with some accusing her of bias due to her affiliation with TVC — an allegation she firmly rejected, clarifying that the network employs staff with diverse political leanings.

With her final sign-off approaching, fans and colleagues are left to reflect on a 12-year era of candid debates, impactful interviews, and dynamic conversations that have shaped Your View into one of Nigeria’s most influential daytime talk shows.
