Two persons were abducted in Lata-Nna community, Edu Local Government Area of Kwara state on Friday night during a brazen attack by armed bandits, DAILY POST reports.

Sources in the community identified the abductees as Alhaji Adam Gbechi and Alhaji Aji Hajaworo.

It was learnt that the bandits are yet to reach out to their families.

The sources recalled that the incident occurred barely hours after the Thursday attack on some communities in the Lafiagi Emirate.

Youths of the Emirate had planned to protest the persistent abductions in the area but were prevailed upon to reconsider the plan by the leadership of the Lafiagi Descendants Development Union, LADDU, for the fear of demonstration being hijacked by hoodlums.

The latest attack on Friday night has sent shockwaves through the community, leaving residents in a state of fear and anxiety.

The abduction of the two residents has further raised concerns over safety and security in the area, with many calling for increased vigilance and swift action to rescue the victims.

Residents have reported to praying to God to rescue them from the bandits, and for the safe return of the abducted men.

None of the security agencies in the state could be reached for comments as at the time of filing this report.
