The governor who announced the number of applications in Uyo, during the monthly prayer service promised to ensure transparency in the recruitment process, adding that it would be based on merit.

He said the selection would be a computer-based test with instant results adding, “there are no slots, and there is no favouritism.”

Previous recruitment exercises had been marred by lack of transparency, favoritism and had generated much anxiety among job seeks in the state.

Eno also disclosed, “In the past two days, I inspected 23 projects across the state and was inspired by the number of youths, engineers, artisans, and even young female project leaders, actively engaged. This is the spirit we must embrace: more hard work.”
