Nollywood actor and skitmaker Ganiyu Kehinde Morufu aka Ijoba Lande, has cried out after allegedly being blackmailed with an artificial intelligence (AI)-generated video.
In a viral video message, the actor revealed that an unidentified person created a fake video using AI technology, falsely showing him in bed with a married woman. The blackmailer is reportedly demanding ₦5 million to stop the release of the clip.

Lande, visibly distressed, urged Nigerians to disregard the video if it surfaces, warning that it could destroy innocent lives. He said:
“Somebody just sent a video to me. He is using it to threaten me. They put me and a married woman together on the bed having s*x and the person is demanding for ₦5 million from me.”
He appealed to the public not to believe the fabricated footage, stressing that the married woman involved is innocent. He continued:
“Please whenever the person releases the video, everyone should ignore because it’s not me. Do not let her husband chase her away.”
Lande further called on the Nigerian government to urgently regulate the use of AI before it spirals out of control. He said:
“The government should do something about this AI thing. It’s going to cause a lot of damage in this country.”
In March, Ijoba Lande accused his estranged wife, Darasimi of having extramarital affair with over 21 actors, including Babatunde Tayo Bernard, aka Baba Tee.
Baba Tee initially denied the allegation but later admitted to having a “short” sexual experience with Dara.
Shortly after, he asked for Lande’s forgiveness, claiming the reason it happened was because he was not aware that Dara was married.
Responding to his plea, Lande said he has forgiven Baba Tee.
