Manchester United vs Arsenal is the Premier League fixture everyone is waiting for this weekend.
On Friday, after 82 days, the English topflight returned with Liverpool’s thrilling 4-2 win over Bournemouth.
Yesterday, Manchester City thrashed Wolves 4-0 and Tottenham Hotspur saw off newly-promoted Burnley 3-0 in Thomas Frank’s first league game.
But the Gunners’ trip to Old Trafford this Sunday is the one.
And for both teams, they will be looking to make a statement of intent from the start.
United endured probably their worst campaign in their history last term, finishing 15th in the league and losing the Europa League final to Spurs.
Ruben Amorim has added Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Sesko to the squad, as he begins his first full season in charge of the Red Devils.
The arrival of the trio immediately elevates the level of attackers available to Amorim.
One striker he probably would have loved is Viktor Gyokeres, who opted to join Arsenal instead.
Gyokeres is one of six arrivals at the Emirates, along with Christhian Mosquera, Kepa Arizzabalaga, Martin Zubimendi, Noni Madueke and Christian Norgaard.
For many fans and pundits, this will be a make-or-break season for Mikel Arteta. Having finished in second place for three consecutive years, there is almost a demand for him to finally get his hands on the title.
With their arrivals having picked up three points already, the onus is on Arteta’s men to start as they mean to end.
