Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) season 10 housemate, Sabrina Idukpaye, has opened up about her exit from the show, revealing she was stopped from returning even after being medically certified fit.
The 32-year-old reality star, who had been unwell, informed fellow housemates on Monday that she was stepping away to seek proper medical treatment. The show’s organisers later confirmed her departure after consultations with Big Brother and the on-site medical team.
However, during an Instagram Live session on Sunday, August 17, Sabrina explained that she had expected to rejoin the house after undergoing a series of medical tests. She recounted:
“After exiting, I was transported to a hospital and examined by a gynaecologist. On Tuesday, I was told all results were unremarkable. Nothing was wrong with me. I was elated because I believed it meant I would be on my way back.”
Instead, she said she was kept in isolation for five days without access to her phone or media, waiting for clearance to return. On Friday, she received a call informing her she would not be allowed back on the show. Sabrina described the situation as “one of the most excruciating calls” of her life.

Despite her disappointment, she has remained grateful and hopeful. In a heartfelt Instagram post, she thanked Multichoice and the BBNaija organisers for the opportunity to participate:
“This past week has been filled with uncertainty, questions, and silence. While I still do not have the answers I deserve, one thing is clear: I am strong, I am healthy, and I am in good spirits. My journey has only just begun.”
She also expressed love for her fans and faith in the future:
“Just like Biggie said, I am special, a rare one in a world like this. My confidence is in the Lord Almighty, the Author and the Finisher of my story. Time will tell.”
