Burna Boy used to squat in my house – Cubana Chief Priest

Celebrity barman and nightlife king, Cubana Chief Priest, has bragged about how he supported Grammy award-winning singer Burna Boy back in the days when the superstar was still struggling.

During a recent livestream with TikToker Peller at his luxurious Owerri mansion, the businessman claimed Burna Boy once stayed in his home for days at a time. He boasted:

“I have brought everybody [celebrities] here. CP no small. I’m not joking. Burna Boy used to squat in my place for days. Giant of Africa no be person go bring am up?

Money na water! I have been doing this business for a long time.”

Meanwhile, in May 2024, Nigerian singer Abiodun Majemite Ekele, better known as Oritsefemi on Chude Jideonwo’s talk show shared how he came through for Burna Boy when he had serious issues with his mum.

He revealed that Burna Boy came to live with him for months because he sought ways to avoid his mum.

The Double Wahala singer shared that Burna Boy left his house because the African Giant crooner felt his mum was choking him and only Oritsefemi’s house was the only place he could find solace.

Recall Burna Boy initially sacked his mum as his manager back in 2014 after a disagreement.

On July 11, 2014, the singer announced via his X (formerly Twitter) handle that his mother would no longer be his manager. He wrote:

“It’s been a long road to where I am today and my mother Bose Ogulu has managed me the best she could up till this point and am grateful…at this point in my life and career, it is time to let my mother be my mother and let my manager be my manager, therefore Bose Ogulu is no longer my manager.”

However, she resumed managing him since 2017.
