CHAN: Six countries through to quarter-finals

Six countries have qualified for the quarter-finals of the ongoing African Nations Championship, CHAN, tournament.

The six countries are Uganda, Algeria, Morocco, Madagascar, Kenya and Tanzania.

DAILY POST reports that Uganda and Algeria are the latest teams to qualify for the last eight following the conclusion of Group C fixtures played on Monday.

Uganda played a 3-3 draw against South Africa on Monday evening to progress to the quarter-finals.

They finished top of Group C with seven points from four games.

Algeria is in second position with six points from the same number of games.

They are also ahead of South Africa on goal difference, as Molefi Ntseki’s side also have six points.

The likes of Guinea and Niger sit in fourth and fifth positions in Group C with four points and two points, respectively, after four matches.
