Nigerian street-pop sensation, Oniyide Azeez popularly known as Zinoleesky has sparked heated conversations online after posting a cryptic message believed to be aimed at veteran music producer, Olumide Ogunade, aka ID Cabasa and singer Michael Adebayo Olayinka aka Ruger.

The Marlian Records star dropped the shade-laden words on social media, instantly igniting debate among fans about old grudges and simmering rivalries within the Afrobeats scene.

In his viral post, Zinoleesky wrote:

Make pesin help me tell i.d kagbasa say e life don ruger..If I talk and d other esu go break leg…. Them go start to point finger…One time, e get one guy, with one eye… he talk say……. Hmm lol, Osho free

The message was quickly decoded by fans as a direct dig at ID Cabasa, who in the past had questioned Zinoleesky’s reported wealth, and at Ruger, who famously sports an eyepatch and has had a history of subtle beef with the “Call of Duty” crooner.

In 2023, Ruger had already taken a swipe at Zinoleesky in his track “Sakara”, where he mocked the singer’s frequent flaunting of luxury cars, particularly his Ferrari. Ruger’s biting lyrics read:

But who you Dey lie for?, who you Dey finger? You Dey vex, you Dey call boys, you Dey ginger
When me and you know say you no get the liver.”

This open diss further cemented the tension between both artists, with many fans interpreting Zinoleesky’s latest post as a delayed counterattack.

On the other hand, ID Cabasa, a revered producer who groomed stars like 9ice and Olamide, once accused Zinoleesky of inflating his achievements.

According to Cabasa, the houses and exotic cars Zinoleesky often flaunts were allegedly purchased under Marlian Records, the controversial label owned by Naira Marley, and not in the singer’s personal name.

With this new shade, Zinoleesky has reignited the fire of an old rivalry while putting both Ruger and Cabasa back in the spotlight. As Afrobeats continues to dominate the global stage, fans are keen to see whether this latest drama will escalate into more lyrical exchanges or fade into another episode of online banter.
