The Nigerian Army has apprehended a man identified as Abubakar Ibrahim, also known as Abim Ndamitso, in Tsaragi, Edu Local Government Area of Kwara State, on suspicion of being an informant for bandits terrorising the local government area.

Sources disclosed that the arrest took place on Wednesday at the suspect’s residence in the community.

According to sources who confirmed the development to Nupekotvlafiagi, Ndamitso was arrested along with another individual.

However, the second person was released after investigation and interrogation found him to be innocent.

Ndamitso, meanwhile, remains in the custody of security agencies for further questioning, DAILY POST gathered.

The arrest of Ndamitso is part of a broader crackdown on criminal networks in the region.

There are reports of mass arrests of suspected informants across Edu Local Government Area, with some allegedly confessing to aiding bandits, while others are still being interrogated.
