Mikel Arteta, head coach of Arsenal Football Club, has suggested that the club secured Eberechi Eze’s signature because the 27-year-old will give the Gunners a new dimension in the attack.

The Spaniard also described the England international as a powerful footballer.

On Saturday, Arsenal announced the signing of the attacking midfielder from Premier League side Crystal Palace.

Eze moved to the Emirates Stadium in a transfer deal worth £67.5 million and was handed the number 10 jersey.

“Eberechi is a powerful and exciting player who’ll give Arsenal a new dimension in our attacking game,” Arteta said via Arsenal’s website.

“His journey, his mentality, and his ambition are exactly what we want in our team.”
