The Jigawa State Public Complaints Commission has sought stronger collaboration with the state police command in the discharge of its responsibilities.

This was contained in a statement signed by the spokesman of the Jigawa State police command and issued to DAILY POST.

He said the Commissioner of the Public Complaints Commission (PCC), Jigawa State, Hon. Barde Usman Shehu, made the call when he paid a courtesy visit to the Police Headquarters in Dutse.

According to him, the Commission is mandated to address grievances between the public and government agencies, promote fairness, and safeguard citizens’ rights.

“We play a non-judicial role by investigating complaints, mediating disputes, and making recommendations for amicable resolution.”

“The PCC is neither a court of law nor a law enforcement agency, but an institution designed to promote accountability, justice, and good governance.”
