NPFL: Kwara United promote three youngsters to senior team

Kwara United have promoted three of its U-19 players to the senior team for the 2025-26 season.

The players are goalkeeper Kolawole Sheriff, defender Ezenabo Somtonchukwu and midfielder Mahee Alege Muhammed.

Kwara United announced the players’ promotion after they signed their first professional contracts.

“We have promoted three standout players from our U-19 squad, winners of the inaugural NPFL U-19 League, to the senior team,” Kwara United stated after the trio’s unveiling.

The trio were part of the team that won the inaugural NPFL U-19 tournament in Lagos.

The players are expected to play a role for Kwara United in NPFL, CAF Confederation Cup and the President Federation Cup this season.
