Renowned teen comedienne, Emmanuella Samuel, has finally addressed the swirling rumours surrounding her personal life, clarified misconceptions that have persisted for years.

The 15-year-old star, who rose to fame through Mark Angel Comedy, spoke exclusively to Premium Times, shedding light on the stories that have dogged her both online and offline.

Emmanuella revealed that many of the circulating claims, particularly those suggesting she was pregnant or married, are entirely false.

In explaining the false rumours, Emmanuella highlighted the absurdity and volume of the stories. She described instances where social media reports suggested she was expecting a child or had tied the knot—claims she firmly denied.

She noted the confusion and curiosity these falsehoods generate, averred that while people may question her life decisions, she relies on her own understanding of the truth.

She said: “There are lots of rumours out there. I have heard a lot, but I know the truth. There’s one where they said Ella was pregnant, that I was getting married, that I had married, etc., which are all false. There are so many unspeakable rumours, and sometimes I wonder where they come from.”

While debunking several speculations, Emmanuella confirmed one positive claim about her life: her decision to buy a house for her parents at just 10 years old.

The young comedian explained that the move was motivated purely by love and concern for her family’s comfort, said she wanted her parents to live in a home without the burden of rent and aimed to bring happiness to those around her.

Being the fourth of six children, Emmanuella said she did not feel pressured to take on such a responsibility at a young age. Instead, the decision reflected her personal values and a sense of familial duty.

Her words;

“The reason or motive was to make my parents proud, making everyone around me happy, no matter what; even if I was sad, I would make sure I put a smile on everyone’s face. I sensed it wasn’t right for my mummy to be staying in a rented apartment, that my family couldn’t be staying in such an apartment, so we came up with the idea of building a comfortable place where they wouldn’t be paying rent.

“That’s how building the house came about. There are six of us in my family. I’m the fourth child. I did it (built the house) out of love. I don’t feel any pressure.”
