El-Kanemi Warriors technical adviser, Kabiru Dogo, has showered encomium on his players following their win over Bendel Insurance on Sunday.

The Maiduguri club started the 2025/26 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) campaign with a 2-0 victory over the visitors.

Al’amin Umar and Daddy Abdulrahman got the goals for the home team.

Dogo, who only took charge of the team last month, praised the players for playing to instruction.

“The boys played exactly to instructions. What we do in training was exactly what they showed on the field, discipline, dedication, and commitment. I’m truly impressed, and I believe, In Sha Allah, we will continue to give our best throughout the season,” he told the club’s official website.

El-Kanemi Warriors currently occupy top spot on the table.

They will take on Ikorodu City in their next game at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos, this weekend.
