Muhammad Garba, spokesman for former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Abdullahi Ganduje, has dismissed allegations of corruption against his principal, describing them as politically motivated.

Garba, a former Kano State Commissioner for Information, in a statement on Monday, said Ganduje governed the state with accountability, transparency and left lasting legacies during his eight years in office.

He accused the Kano State Government of making deliberate attempts to link Ganduje to financial mismanagement, land grabbing, and overspending through the Protocol Directorate, insisting the claims were false.

“Governor Ganduje’s record reflects decades of service to Kano State. These narratives are acts of misinformation aimed at distracting the public from real governance issues,” Garba said.

He stressed that all activities carried out by the directorate were administrative, lawful, and within state-approved budgets, adding that suggestions to the contrary were distortions.

The former commissioner further maintained that Ganduje prioritised development and responsible management of state resources, pointing to enduring programmes and projects left behind by his administration.

Garba urged the public, media, and political actors to refrain from using Ganduje’s name for propaganda or political attacks.

“If there are genuine concerns, there are proper legal channels to address them. Dragging a former leader’s name into these narratives is unjust,” he added.
