Finidi George has insisted that Rivers United is not afraid of any team in the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL.
Finidi expressed confidence that his team will have an improved campaign this season, having finished in second place last term.
Rivers United were held to a 1-1 draw by Remo Stars in the opening fixture of the new season in Abeokuta last weekend.
The team will face Kwara United in their matchday two fixture in Port Harcourt this weekend.
“It’s good that the fixture is coming strong with tough teams because if there are mistakes, we will know how to correct them,” Finidi told Rivers United’s media.
“We are not scared of any team this season. We will play our best football this season, hopefully, we will get the result we deserve.”
