The Kebbi State Police Command has dismissed allegations that it placed a rescued child, Ezechukwu, in a state orphanage.

The claim was made by a former Kebbi corps member, but the police described it as false.

Command spokesperson, CSP Nafiu Abubakar, said the police’s primary duty is to protect lives and property, and that the allegations were intended to tarnish the image of the Kebbi Police Command.

“The claims are completely unfounded. We remain focused on our core responsibilities,” he said, urging the public to disregard the report.

The statement also warned that the police would take legal action against individuals spreading false information.
