Hellas Verona have signed Nigeria forward Gift Orban on loan from Bundesliga outfit TSG Hoffenheim, DAILY POST reports.

The Serie A club have the option to make the transfer permanent for €8m next summer.

Orban only moved to Hoffenheim from Ligue 1 club Olympique Lyonnais in January.

The 23-year-old made a bright start at the German club, scoring four goals in his first six appearances.

The powerful striker, however, lost his place in the team due to injuries and a loss of form.

Orban ended up scoring four goals in 13 appearances across all competitions for Hoffenheim.

The contract with Verona will run until June 2029 if the option to buy is activated at the end of this season.
