Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta, has spoken about Eberechi Eze playing in Martin Odegaard’s role against Liverpool on Sunday.
Eze was unveiled before the Gunners’ fans before the 5-0 win over Leeds United at the Emirates Stadium.
During the game, Odegaard picked up a shoulder problem and is a major doubt for this weekend’s trip to Liverpool.
When asked whether Eze can play in Odegaard’s position against Liverpool, Arteta told reporters: “We have options in that position and that’s the good thing we have this year.
“Let’s see [on Odegaard]. Another day. I’m not going to give you any more clues!”
On Eze’s versatility, he added: “We have a lot of players who can play in different positions and fill gaps.
“That is going to be very necessary, so very happy to have the ability to do that.”
