The Imo State Chapter of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, has set up a State Executive Committee, SEC, to oversee the affairs of the party in preparation for the next general elections.

The inauguration of the SEC members, according to the party, will pave the way for transformative leadership focused on achieving electoral victory.

Addressing party members after the inauguration, the newly elected chairman of the committee, Prof. James Okoroma, on behalf of the committee members, promised to reposition the party as a fortress of integrity and inclusiveness.

“We stand today as a beacon of political reawakening. The ADC will not compromise on justice, fairness, and people-driven governance. The journey to rescue Imo is what we have just begun. We are not going to relent in rescuing the State and salvaging our land as well as the future of our children.

“There is a collapse of leadership in Imo. For over five years now the state has not been able to attract any investment. All other states in the southeast region have outgrown the state in terms of infrastructure and human capital development,” he said.

He said that the mission of the party was to strengthen democracy and offer credible leadership to Nigerians and Imo in particular.
